The Kingston Quartet first formed in 1999 in Kingston-upon-Thames. Since originally forming to perform classical concerts, they are now fast becoming one of London and the South Easts' best known string quartets. In recent years the quartet have performed for HRH The Countess of Wessex, The Lord Mayor of London at The Mansion House and played in prestigious venues such as The Barbican, The Fairfield Halls and the Royal Academy of Arts. Alongside the quartets own concert performances and recording projects they are constantly touring the South East performing at literally hundreds of weddings and functions every year.
Ever the diverse musicians, the quartet have also recently performed at several events for The Last Tuesday Society at both Adam Street and Parker MacMillan and are constantly updating their contemporary repertoire having recently performed a Gun's and Roses arrangement.
In July 2008 also saw the quartet take on their first live radio performance. In 2011 they recorded a track with 'Leo the Lion' from The Voice 2014, and last year the quartet recorded at the prestigious Air Studios in London for the 'Tall Girl' VW advert which is still currently showing on television.
